Date Advice- Taking Her Out On A Budget

Posted by & filed under Relationship Advice.

You don’t have to be a baller or rich as Rockefeller to take a someone on a fun date. Here’s some great date advice and ideas to take someone out on a budget. Do you find yourself in that awkward situation where you are strapped for cash but also dating? Especially if you’re a man (as the male is still generally expected to pay for dates), this can be extremely stressful but not if you exercise a little creativity and do a bit of research! Forget the tradition of dinner followed by a movie because if you are already on a budget, this can seriously break the bank.

Dating on a budget can actually be more fun than run-of-the-mill dating if you put your mind to it. Have a look at some of the ideas that we have come up with. Dating need not cost a fortune to be successful!

The first step is to determine what both your interests are. If you both like outdoor sports, for example, why not meet one Saturday morning and head out for a refreshing hike? This costs nothing but quality time together and perhaps a packed lunch to eat halfway.

Are you gamers? Great! Why not make an evening of it and have a gaming session together? This is a fantastic way to spend time together, especially if it’s raining outside.

If you’re lovers of culture, history or science, check out your local museums but do some research first to find out when they have discounted rates or free days. These are brilliant opportunities to soak up some knowledge and to do something entirely different whilst spending time with your significant other at the same time.

If you live near a beach and the weather is good, make a day of it! Load up the car with a blanket and a picnic lunch and lounge around on the beach, make sandcastles and swim in the ocean. Sounds ideal and it costs almost nothing!

Alternatively, if it’s winter and you love winter sports, such as skiing, snow boarding or ice skating, make an outing of it and relax afterwards with some delicious hot chocolate to warm you up.

Don’t forget your pets whilst dating. If you both have dogs, why not introduce them to each other by taking them out for a walk together in the park? This is a great way to exercise, get out in the fresh air and bond.

Being strapped for cash is never easy but why not think of those less fortunate than yourself by volunteering with a charity? Decide on a charity that you are both passionate about and volunteer your services with them for a day or an evening. Whether it’s at an animal shelter or a soup kitchen, you’ll feel so much better about your situation if you help others.

If you love both love cooking, this is a great way to spend time together. Shop around for the ingredients for the meal beforehand and then cook the meal together. It will taste so much better than restaurant food if you’ve cooked it yourself!

Still stumped? Simply thinking outside the box will give you so much more to work with. Creativity is always key!
